HCF Applications

For the last twenty years of intense development, HCF has finally proven itself for its lower latency over the traditional solid-core fibers (SCF), with about 33% latency reduction. Other major improvements include lower transmission loss and better compatibility with SCF. However, the HCF termination or connectorization has always been a challenge, with costs up to a few hundred dollars per termination. Samba Labs takes on the challenge to solve the HCF-to-SCF interconnection problem with intensive R&D efforts, resulting in a novel LC-type HCF-to-SCF connector, with low insertion loss, low return loss, high mechanical reliability, and most impressively low cost to meet the demanding AI datacenter applications.
